empowerment village
Empowerment Village is Mission Hope’s long-term housing and support program for single mothers with children ages 0–10 who are ready to take bold steps toward stability and independence.
Located in the peaceful wine country of Temecula, moms live in beautiful ranch-style homes with private rooms and access to shared community spaces, playgrounds, and gardens. This 12–24 month program is for working moms with transportation, and includes personalized support in career development, education, financial planning, and wellness. Empowerment Village isn’t a handout—it’s a hand up. With a 100% success rate last year of moms moving into permanent housing, it’s a proven path for families ready to thrive.
The Program
Housing
Safe, Stable Housing.
Each family receives private bedrooms and bathrooms in a safe, stable shared housing environment. Located in Temecula, the property features multiple ranch-style homes, a playground, and lots of space for healing, growing and thriving.
Education
Equipping for Independence.
Women gain access to educational resources, skill-building workshops, career mentoring, and a strong support system—all designed to help them grow in confidence, achieve their goals, and create lasting stability for themselves and their children.
Empowerment Village is more than a housing program—it’s a supportive, uplifting community of single moms who are working toward similar goals. Living alongside like-minded women creates natural opportunities for encouragement, shared wisdom, and lasting friendships. Together, residents, staff, and volunteers foster an environment of respect, accountability, and hope where families can truly thrive.
Community
Commitment to Growth.
Residents commit to a shared standard that fosters safety, respect, and personal growth for everyone—moms, children, staff, and volunteers. This includes responsible co-living, active participation in workshops and weekly classes, progress toward personal goals, honest communication with the advocacy team, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Accountability
Pillars of Our Program
-
Financial literacy, education, career advancement, and next-step housing
You deserve a future that feels stable, strong, and truly yours. In this area, you’ll build confidence around money management through hands-on financial literacy classes, monthly budgeting, and a personalized savings plan designed to support your goals beyond EV.
You’ll partner with us to create a financial plan that works for you and take meaningful steps toward safe, stable, permanent housing. Together, we’ll break down the real cost of living, set S.M.A.R.T. goals, and map out a path toward career growth—or furthering your education if that aligns with your journey.
This isn’t just about getting by—it’s about moving forward with purpose, on your terms.
-
Parenting support, family healing, and connection
You’re not just parenting—you’re building a strong, connected family. We use ‘The Whole-Brain Child’ by Drs. Siegel and Bryson to help you better understand your child’s emotions and development, and to strengthen your connection with practical, proven tools like “Name It to Tame It” and “Connect Through Conflict.”
We also know that healing often includes navigating relationships with family members and other important people in your life. Whether you’re working on communication, co-parenting, or setting boundaries with unhealthy dynamics, we’re here to support that process in a way that’s safe and empowering.
-
Mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness
Healing takes time, space, and support—and we’re here to walk alongside you. Our occupational therapist leads monthly wellness check-ins and teaches classes using proven, evidence-based practices to help you build strong, sustainable habits.
While we don’t offer therapy, we’ll help you connect with trusted, outside providers so your support system is in place both now and after you leave our program.
You’ll explore tools for managing stress, building healthy routines, and nurturing your mind, body, and spirit—so you feel more grounded, balanced, and whole.
-
Agency, voice, and self-leadership
You are the expert in your own life—and we honor that. We’ll support you in setting goals that matter to you, creating a plan to get there, and making your own choices along the way.
You’ll build skills in self-advocacy, boundary-setting, and decision-making so you can speak up with confidence—for yourself, your children, and your future. While our program has clear expectations, we’re committed to helping you grow within that structure—with choice, support, and respect every step of the way.
This is your journey. We’re here to help you lead it—boldly, intentionally, and with purpose.
